Live from St. Olaf, It's Saturday Night!

The rumor-fest is over, and it is finally official, Betty White will be guest-hosting Saturday Night Live on May 8th, 2010. I'll have to clear out my whole week so you probably won't hear from me around then but we've still got some time before it happens.

And now enjoy this clip of Betty accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Globes from a few months ago. The line about now Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock is pricesless...

Er, I believe this was the Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award that Betty got, not a Golden Globe.

Shit, you're right! For some reason I don't want to correct it, though!

The SAG Awards are given their own telecast. They're also the only major awards that I get to vote on, still being a member of SAG. But it's been a couple of years (OK, closer to a couple of decades) since I actually worked under a SAG contract.

Oh, Dave, two steps forward one step back. First you raise our hopes by tweeting during the Oscars. At last, we said, Dave is GAY!! Hooray! But now. . .this. Confusing the SAG Awards with the lowly Golden Globes . .and then refusing to change it! Just like a straight man. When does your gay card expire, Dave. It will be very, VERY difficult to renew it when the time comes. ;)

Okay, I'll say it...

"Well her golden globes *are" SAGging so I can see why Dave was confused."
