Then there was Mr. Mayor, a show Bob Keeshan did on Saturday mornings for one season in 1964 while still playing Captain Kangaroo five days a week. Ya know, sometimes I scare myself with the crap I remember.
Wow, Hal. 1964. The year of my birth. So I, of course, have no knowledge of said show. But it's nice to know you STILL remember it. And we still love you, Dave. Long time. In the Biblical sense. :)
Wait, who said I remember it? I'm merely aware of its existence. I'm familiar with "The Importance of Being Earnest," also, but I wasn't at its London premiere in 1895.

I don't know, Dave. We may have to organize a re-call election. Maybe get Carrot Top or Jay Leno to run for the new mayor. ;)
Or maybe that guy from the Rent Is Too Damned High party.
Or at least Mayor McCheese.
