Something I've Never Understood

Can someone please explain to me why when a team wins a championship that people in that city decide to flip cars, burn garbage cans and throw rocks through windows?

Chicago Cubs fans think they have it bad just because they haven't won in 102 years, but frankly I think it's the only thing holding the city together...

Could there be a correlation between the kinds of people who are rabid about sports and this sort of violent activity? Not funny, just sociologically perceptive. I'm just saying.

Interesting thesis, Barry, about the possibility that people who enjoy watching organized aggression might themselves be prone to gratuitous acts of violence and aggression. No offense, Dave, but one can sometimes get the impression that many rabid sports fans, to use Roxie Hart's phrase, "ain't got the smarts."
