Mount Motumbo

The oldest player in the NBA, an 8-time All-Star, 4-time Defensive Player of the Year, and generally really nice guy, Dikembe Motumbo, was hurt in last night's Rockets-Blazers game. Apparently, the injury is career-ending, and this giant guy, who played every moment like it was his last, has blocked his last shot. I mention this because there is nothing like seeing someone, no matter what they do, do what they do with passion, dedication and love. The video below is from back in 1994 when his 8th-seeded Denver Nuggets upset the 1st-seeded Sonics. It was the first upset of it's kind, and his emotions after are just priceless. Check it out...

It's a good lesson in being passionate about what you do and then it never really becomes work. That being said, I have a lot of work to do on my 3-point shot if I wanna make the NBA next season.

Got a bunch of good shows this weekened, if any of you are in NYC, let me know. More tomorrow...
