Tell me that's not the cutest dog you've ever seen.

(That was sarcasm, if you tell me that I will not be happy with you.)

In case you don't recognize that pooch, that's Emma, my dog and favorite all-around girl. She is a rescue from Hurricane Katrina, and despite being incredibly sick with heart-worm disease after the storm, she managed to give birth to three healthy puppies, one of whom was coincidentally adopted by a lady who lives a couple blocks from me.

We get Emma and her son Bernard together every now and then to catch-up, lick each other and sniff-butt. They have an incredible connection that makes it obvious that they recognize and know each other and it's a really great thing to see.

I normally end these with some sort of funny twist, but for some reason I felt like just telling her story. It should be noted, however, that Emma did mention to me that she'd like a lil non-human, male companionship. So, if any of you have a male dog that you would like to set her up with feel free to e-mail me pictures and a history to dave@rubinville.com.

Thank you, and woof, woof...
