I hate to beat a dead horse, or even a manipulative, conservative talk show host, but check out Bill O'Rielly talking half-truths and some outright make-believe with his lap-dog, Dennis Miller...
No radio today as I have to meet my friend in the CIA to give him some information to leak, but we'll be back at 3 pm everyday next week. Check out the archive from yesterday if you are having Dave-withdrawal...

Rosie is leaving The View, which meant this hair-plugged, classless moron had to chime in...
Yes, you heard that right, he slipped and said "cock" instead of "crotch." Great guy, great guy.
Rubinville Radio today at 4:30 pm eastern. Sorry for the time change but I have a dentist appointment and you can't put a price on nice teeth...

Just came across this interesting clip of John McCain threatening to kill Jon Stewart. That'll really get ya in good with the young people Johnny-boy...
Gonna take the day off from the radio today, but if you didn't listen live yesterday you can check out the archive via the player in the right column. All sorts of insightful commentary and irreverent humor abound throughout the hour...

This picture serves two purporses today, first, in honor of the beautiful weather we are having, and secondly, in memory of Boris Yeltsin, the Former President of Russia, who died today.
It is also the alcohol of choice of listeners of Rubinville Radio, which will be LIVE today at 4 pm eastern. Note the time change to 4 pm just for today. Hear you then...

Rubinville Radio went live again today at 3pm eastern. We knocked out some of the techinical stuff and took some live calls. It'll continue to get better so keep checking in and I promise all kinds of audio crazyness. As a reminder, you can always listen to the most recent show by clicking the player to the right.
The highlight (or lowlight) of the show was when my chair, pictured above, literally fell apart. I think you can actually hear it crumble and me fall to the floor. Only someone with my comedic worth would dare to do physical comedy on the radio.
More tomorrow...

Clyde, thankfully, got the boot last night on Dancing with the Stars. It had gotten progressively harder to watch him, so instead of seeing him dance I offer you his 10 Greatest Moves, as listed by NBA.com...
So, Rubinville Radio went live yesterday and amazingly it didn't crash this site, nor the entire internet. From what people told me, when you click the "I Have a Radio Show!" button it will take you to my page where if I'm live the show will automatically start playing via Windows Media Player. If you click the button when I'm not live you can listen to any of the archives. You can also hear the most recent show right here on Rubinville by clicking on the embedded player to the right. Alright then, enough tech stuff. Who knew comedy would be this much work?
Plan on more live radio tommorrow, again at 3pm eastern. I'll decree that officially later today...

Before we get to Rubinville Radio, I want to thank everyone who called, e-mailed and commented to pass on their sympathies about my granndmother. Her last few days and even the funeral itself were amazing and inspiring and I will write about them (or talk about them) soon enough. Grandma would've wanted life to go on without missing a beat though, and that's why I'm going air my first LIVE radio show tommorrow...
Tuesday, April 17th, 2007 at 3 pm is the date and time. You can come to Rubinville a few minutes before and click on the "I Have a Talk Show!" button to the right which will take you to my BlogTalkRadio page. From there I think you click "Listen Live" or look for a play button and it should work. If It isn't working exactly at 3 that means I'm having some technical problems but I promise we're gonna get this thing going.
If you want to call in just dial 718.508.9812 from any telephone. I'll also be on AIM during the show, my screen name is Optimus Hilarius. The show will be scheduled for one hour but it'll be more or less depending on how I'm able to work out the kinks.
I'm really looking forward to this, so please spread the word amongst all the peoples of the world...
(If you can't find the live link on my BlogTalkRadio page for some reason, just go to www.blogtalkradio.com where there is a list of all the lives shows on the right side of front page. Now cross your fingers for me, or whatever it is you cross when you want something to work out.)

My Grandma Mimi passed away on Friday. She was truly an amazing woman who defined being a "great-grandmother" even though techincally she hadn't gotten there yet. This picture is from my brother's wedding last November. That's Grandma with her oldest son, my dad, and her oldest grandson, me. The funeral was today, in the midst of this crazy storm, probably because she is making a big splash up in heaven.
Grandma, I said it to you before you left us on Friday, but just in case you are surfing the internet from up there, I love you very much.
(Rubinville Radio is on hold for another day or two, but stay tuned, it's all planned and ready to rock...)

Okay, I promised something new and an improved here at Rubinville, and here we go. I'm going to be doing a daily, or close to it, LIVE radio show from Rubinville. This first test one that you can listen to below is prerecorded just to make sure I could figure it all out, but I'll start posting a schedule of when the live ones will be so you can listen in. Not only will you be able to listen, but you'll be able to call in through your telephone and contact me via AIM during the show. Without getting too detailed just yet lets see if this first one posts and then we'll go from there...
I'll work on making the audio sharper for the first live one and I'll post the live schedule by tommorrow. The future is now, folks...
(Interestingly, I just read CBS Radio has now fired Don Imus. Coincidence? I think not.)

Don Imus probably didn't help his cause with this little verbal gaffe on Al Sharpton's radio show...
One of the first things I learned from stand up is never to call the audience "you people." Apparently that rule doesn't always apply on radio.
This whole firestorm over his stupid and foolish comments is interesting at many levels, but the primary one being how to decided what is okay to say and what isn't. Seeing as I just posted about Rosie and free speech I will stick to that philosophy, but Imus clearly went to far. I didn't listen to him before this, and I doubt I will after this.
More importantly than all this free speech mumbo jumbo, Clyde again moved on for another week of Dancing with the Stars. Leeza Gibbons got the boot, and I assume she'll have another talk show by next week.
I've got the Yankees-Twins game on in the background as I write this. It's pretty safe to say that an April baseball game with a score of 10-1 in the ninth inning is the most boring thing ever.
Yes, I've watched Charlie Rose, and this is less boring.
Charlie, if you're reading this I'm available to guest host anytime...

In case you haven't been watching Fox News lately, you've missed Bill O'Rielly constantly attacking Rosie O'Donnell. If you can sit through this clip it is a great example of how slick editing and half-truths can make anyone sound however you want them to. The really sad part of this is that Dennis Miller, who Rosie was praising on The View a couple weeks ago, has become a complete right-wing hack...
I'm pretty sure that we still have free speech in America, so keep on freely speaking, Rosie...

I know it's been awhile, and I apologize, it's just that I have somewhere between 2 and 6 things going on at the moment. Not only that, but it is Passover, another holiday where my people celebrate the fact that not all of us were destroyed. Then, throw in Dancing with the Stars and the return of Major League baseball, and you can clearly see that life is rather busy these days.
So, in honor of Major League Baseball coming back, here's a clip of my favorite baseball game on Nintendo, Bases Loaded. Enjoy...
Oh, I should also mention that I have a new concept coming to Rubinville soon, so those of you wearing hats should hold on to them, and those of you without hats should go out and get one, and then hold onto it...
