Stand Up (For Something) Comic

Jon Stewart, who I interned for back in 1999, and who taught me a couple things about comedy, did a great piece the other night about this whole South Park/Mohammed brouhaha. Not only does he scold his bosses at Comedy Central (yet also explain their position) for censoring South Park, but he attacks Revolution Muslim fearlessly in this segment. It's really great to see a comic actually stand up for something they believe in...

It makes me so sad that you have to go to Comedy Central for intelligent discussion of current events. But, I am glad that they have John Stewart, a man with a sense of satire rivaling that of Mark Twain.

The Cartoon Network is pretty good for intelligent discussion too...

Great, now they have an excuse to not like Jon Stewart. Oh, wait... there was already that whole Jew-thing wasn't there

Ha, well it wasn't helping him!

I would like a segment of the next podcast to be dedicated to dishing on your interning experience with The Great Jon Stewart. Even Martha Stewart thought he was dreamy. And who but Jon Stewart actually reads the books before having authors on? Spill, please.
