Carol Channing is nothing short of frightening in this clip. Nothing.
This established the now-cliche-tactic of having the supporting character morph into a sheep when you're now sure how else to end the scene.
As odd and frightening as this scene is (and Carol truly makes it both), the dialogue is straight from the book by Lewis Carroll. The song. . .straight from a drag revue in Vegas as far as I can tell. I wonder if Carol Channing was ever not so bizarre. Hal, weren't you and she childhood friends??? ;)
