Irony...Kinda

I find it ironic that a great, old broad, Rue McClanhan, passed away yesterday and this ancient bitch gets to continue to spew hate (from the first row of the White House Press Corps....)

Helen probably wouldn't be happy that many of Rue's lovers (and I think a couple of her husbands) were Jewish.

Note: I did not make any comments about her looks, cuz I'm taking the high-road on this one.

WWBD? (What Would Blanche Do?)

Instead of being sad, I think we should all celebrate Rue today by doing what she says here in her own words...

Episode #42 of The Six Pack with GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios is up on iTunes and BenDave.com. Of course, as a subscriber you knew that already.

Right?

Phew.

Cuz if not, this would be very awkward for you...

I know it's been a little slow around here this week, so as a gift before you head off for your Memorial Day weekend, enjoy this video of a two year old in Indonesia smoking a cigarette....

Farenheit 91

Meteorologists here at the Rubinville Weather Center are telling me it's gonna be a scorching 91 degrees out there today. I've already begun the day with an iced coffee, and will shortly put an ice pack in my underwear before I head outside. Flip flops will also be heavily involved in today's operations.

Taping episode #42 of The Six Pack later this afternoon. I hope the heat doesn't melt all our fancy podcasting equipment...

30 Years Young

Today is a day that goes down in video game history as it is the 30th birthday of the original Pac-Man arcade game. The version pictured above is far fancier than the first one I remember playing in the back of Mario's Pizzeria back in the early 80's. And no, as far as I know the Mario who owned that pizza joint had no relation to another famous video game Mario.

Luigi's Pizzeria across the street from Mario's though, was in fact owned by the video game Luigi. A very colorful fella, by the way. Really loved mushrooms, if I remember correctly.

I can only imagine how many quarters I pumped into Pac-Man back then, though it was probably less than the amount of quarters I've pumped into NYC parking meters, which is ironic because I don't even have a car.

Now excuse me, I have to go make a few strangers' day by filling up their meters.

Call me Meter-Man!

Hmm, maybe they can make that into a video-game...

So This is What Moses Felt Like

Sadly, I had left my staff up near the pool and nothing happened.

OK, that's all for Turks pics, back to regular posting tomorrow...
