For the Birds
BP says that their "Top Hat" is catching 6% of of the crude spilling into the Gulf of Mexico.
Somehow, I don't think that this bird is quite pleased with that percentage.
I remember when "Top Hat" was a Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie. And while Fred did sport a lot of oil in his hair, it wasn't quite this bad. But I digress to a happier time. One that I did not live through personally. . .Hal, how was it?
Well, Barry, you missed a lot by not living through personally the golden age of RKO musicals. I remember one day, my dear friend Hermes Pan could not figure out how "The Continental" should be choreographed. I said to him, "Hermes! Just have Ginger do everything Fred does, only backward and in high heels!" The rest, as they say, is history.
